Many years ago, a young adventurer freed a powerful magical genie trapped in the heart of a swamp. Together, they built the magical city of Cardia. Today, life thrives in the city. However, four factions are fighting for power: the Swamp Rebellion, the scholars of the Academy, the Guild, and the Dynasty. Whoever obtains the powerful signet rings will win the favor of the factions and become the new ruler of Cardia. Play your cards right and defeat your opponent!

Designed by Mathieu Rivero and Faouzi Boughida, Duel for Cardia is a vibrant and strategic card game for two players (or four, playing with a variant) aged 9 and up in quick sessions of about 15 minutes. The first player to obtain 5 seals wins the duel.

Each player has an identical deck of 16 character cards. Turn after turn, they will play one of their five cards from their hand, which will face off in a duel. Then, on one side, the initiative value of the cards (a number ranging from 1 to 16) will be compared; the winner will get a seal and the loser will activate their card's ability. These abilities can have surprising and unexpected effects, so sometimes it can be advantageous to lose a combat in order to activate that ability. For example, some cards may alter the results of previous duels or offer advantages for the rest of the game.

Cardia comes with an extra deck of 32 character cards and 8 location cards that increase the difficulty of the duels and ensure variability in future games. Ready to compete in some high-voltage card duels?
