Designed for new players, the smaller, more affordable edition is perfectly compatible with the rest of the titles in the series, including 4 new monsters and unique power cards.

The work of the legendary Richard Garfield (creator of Magic the Gathering), King of Tokyo: Origins is designed for 2 to 4 players, ages 8 and up, in sessions of about 30 minutes. Short, high-octane games in which players become a gigantic monster, ready to destroy anything in its path to become the king of Tokyo. The first to score 20 victory points or eliminate all their rivals wins.

On their turn, players roll six dice up to three times, keeping the results they like best. The dice allow them to gain victory points, create energy, restore life points, or attack opposing monsters. When you gain energy, you store it in cubes, which you can use to purchase power cards that have a permanent or temporary effect.

Only one monster can be on the Tokyo board at a time. It will earn bonus victory points, but cannot perform the heal action. When attacking, if you're outside of Tokyo, you hit whoever's in Tokyo. If you're in Tokyo, you hit everyone else! If someone's health reaches zero, they're out of the game.

Get ready to conquer the city with your favorite monster! Roll the dice and choose your strategy: Will you attack your enemies? Will you heal your wounds? Will you upgrade your monster? Smash and stomp your way to victory!
