Tír na nÓg

The golden path to Tír na nÓg has opened once more, and the finest Celtic storytellers have gathered for a unique journey to the Otherworld. When they return, they will bring with them tales of the creatures they have encountered and the adventures they have experienced. Over time, these tales will become sagas... and the most epic of them all will live on forever.

Designed by Isaac Shalev and Jason Slingerland, Tír na nÓg can be enjoyed solo or in groups of up to 5 players, ages 10 and up, in sessions lasting about 45 minutes. Through hand management and worker placement mechanics, players will compete to score as many points as possible by forming a unique saga in their play area with the story cards.

A game of Tír na nÓg is played over 5 rounds. In each round, players will select and place 3 cards in their playing area and at the end will form a saga of 15 cards, distributed in a grid of three rows and five columns, which will determine the final score. The final position of a card in the personal playing area is key, as it can generate more or fewer points.

During setup, each player receives 3 Geis cards that indicate how the cards will be scored (there are lots of them, so each game is different) and a central card market is laid out. On each turn, each player will place one of their three pawns on the intersection between two cards in the central market. When all players have placed their pawns, they will take turns choosing cards and adding them to their personal playing area.

The cards are divided into four different colors, and at the end of the game, the players with the largest regions of each color will earn additional points. They also have their own value, which will give points according to the objective cards; and they may even have an ability, which can trigger all kinds of effects.

Timing is key in Tír na nÓg, as two players may need the same card from the central market... but only one can have it. However, there are different ways to score points, so there are many combinations available to players. Are you ready to write the most epic saga that will last forever?
