The King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar II, has commissioned the construction of magnificent hanging gardens for Queen Amytis. Over the course of four rounds, you will lead a team of gardeners to build these gardens and earn as many victory points as possible. Designed by Gregory Grard and Matthieu Verdier, and illustrated by Miguel Coimbra, The Hanging Gardens can be played solo or in groups of up to 5 players (ages 10 and up), with games lasting approximately 30 minutes.

The game unfolds over four rounds. In each round, players take turns using their workers to select tiles from a central market. Depending on the tile chosen, players must pay a specific number of tools from their personal supply. They then place the tile in their play area to form a three-tiered pyramid, consisting of 12 tiles in total. The combination of flowers, animals, visitors, and trees will determine the points earned at the end of the game. Additionally, players must fulfill objectives—which vary from game to game—and ensure their gardens are properly irrigated according to the setup card in play.
