The sharp peaks of the Yunnan mountains have begun to turn green with a peculiar plant. Rumors abound about its miraculous properties, said to heal the body and invigorate the soul. It is no wonder that its cultivation is quickly spreading to other provinces. At the emperor's request, master farmers gather to establish a plantation of this wonderful plant in the valleys of the Yangtze River. And a special reward awaits the most skilled of them all: the promise of fertile lands in the coveted province of Yunnan.

Tea Gardens elegantly and organically combines deck-building, resource management, and action-resolution mechanics. Using action cards, you will build tea gardens in different provinces, study at the university, harvest and ferment tea, trade with caravans in exchange for valuable resources, and sail along the Yangtze River. With fast turns and simple rules, Tea Gardens offers a wide variety of options throughout the game.

The original mechanism for aging harvested tea, in which fresh tea loses quality while fermented tea increases in quality, together with the ability to combine main and secondary actions, makes this strategy game's replayability virtually unlimited.
