Cubirds

Every day, dozens of birds perch on the fences in our fields. When it's time to leave, there's a lot of commotion, and the birds are unable to organize themselves into flocks to return home. Help them find their way back to their nests!

Cubirds is a fast-paced card game in which you have to try to get the largest flocks of birds you can. The cards are divided into eight different bird species.

Players start each round of Cubirds with eight bird cards. There will also be four rows of birds (fences) on the table. On your turn, you will place a series of matching birds at the end of one of the fences. Birds of the same type will join together, causing those that have been surrounded to fly into your hand. When you have enough identical birds in your hand, you can move them to your playing area.

The ultimate goal is to be the first player to accumulate seven different species of birds in your playing area, or two species with three birds in each. All birds have a small and large flock number, so you can add more cards to your playing area at once. Be careful, because if any player runs out of cards in their hand, everyone must discard their cards and draw new ones, thus disrupting any plans they had in place!
